Although i've had more landings at Stansted airport than most people, i'm in no way an England expert. This is a journey through the playpen of Posh Spice, the worlds best donuts and people drinking beer for lunch.
So, unless your bedroom wallpaper is covered in ManU players and your alarm clock is shaped like a football, the word "London" means:
SHOPPING
(images: photobucket.com)
I have no idea where else to go, because i usually get stuck in Topshop for 3 days, but let me at least tell you about Topshop. Now, if you've been there, you'll be nodding your head already, knowing whats to come.
Ground floor is a mixture of bags, hats, stockings, jewelry, sweets (!) nail polish and everything that will make you happy, and your shopping bag carrying boyfriend unhappy.
Basement is all womens clothes, and if you for some reason decide to go here on a saturday,
make sure to bring a bottle of water, chocolate bar and ALOT of patience. Everyone in the world is here at the same time as you.
First floor is all men's clothing, and you'll probably end up getting your boy a fancy Justice-electro-rock inspired tee that he'll never wear.

Onto the next shopping place:
Denmark street.
(photobucket.com)
Forget about The Ramones t-shirts on sale, and go look at where band history was made!
This little street in London is packed with wonderful little guitar shops and Jack Daniels soaked stories. The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix recorded in basements in this street, and the Sex Pistols even lived here for a while. Above no 6 to be exact.
Markets yes yes. Markets.
Camden!
The only market i feel like writing about, actually. I'm not a very market loving person to be honest, i always pay too much, and the only successful item i ever got was a pearl covered hello kitty wallet i got when i was a kid. The boy has had more luck, buying a jacket that i remember i liked, even years before we had the guts to tell eachother we had a crush on eachother.
So. Camden. Enjoy!

And look at people, i love the way everyone dresses exactly how they feel like.
Other markets are: Portobello Road (vintage heaven, but not as cheap as you wish it were) Covent Garden (antiques on monday, and arts & crafts rest of the week), Brick Lane (everything and anything!) and UpMarket (clothes, fashion, music)
The boy's been moaning ever since you entered Topshop, your feet have swollen from a size 8 to a 10, and all you want to do is to embrace your left-at-home Crocs and put your head in a bowl of cold water. Its lunch time!
There's thousand of amazing local pubs, so i'll let you find your favourite, but if you want something easy, nice priced to eat, i'd visit a Wagamama or a Slug and Lettuce place!
Wagamama:

This is a noodle bar where you can get tasty soup or another great asian inspired meal.
The menu is impressive, and it should be hard to find something you wont like.
Practice chop stick skills at home before entering.
Slug and Lettuce:

Chicken wraps!!!
I had my very best chicken wrap EVER here, so thats worth a try. Nice place, super duper lunch menu. And did i mention the chicken wraps? I think i did.
English pub warning:
"Sunday Roast." Typical order on the menu. I do not like it at all.

How on earth can they eat this at the pub on a hung over sunday???
Krispy Kreme
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.

The diet can start when you get home. Not today^^
English people i like:
Amy Winehouse
Only she can rock this outfit!
If anyone ever finds a dress like this in a shop, tell me. I want it!
Gorgeous girl, with an amazing voice.
I really hope she gets better soon <3
Noel Fielding

This guy is weird.
Have you watched the Mighty Boosh yet?
Watch episode 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in a row, it takes some time to get into it.
By the time you've watched those episodes, you'll have a crush on Noel.

aaawww... damn... after reading your blog i miss london even more. have to go back there soon.
ps: i totally understand your obsession with topshop. same here. haha. i could spend all my money there. :D
haaaaaaaaaaa LONDON <333333333!
the best city in the world with NYC.
1-TopShop:not an obsession of mine (yet?) but still have some of the cutest and sexiest underwear and sleepwear from them.
2-Camden is like my second home...I can spend the whole day there and not see time fly, find some hidden treasures, visit my fav shops, have some great and cheap food and finally find comfort during cold winter days with a cup of freshly made chai tea latte served in the street from a huge smoking pot...the best ever for just 1 or 2£!
3-Never been to Wagamama but from your blog looks like it'll be on my to-do list next time!
4-Krispy Kreme is according to my man "the best donuts place"...but i'll avoid anything reminding me too much of american diet lol
4-I don't like Wino, she's just too trashy for me, and not like a trendy trashy or a glam trashy...no, just plain trash lol hopefully she'll clean herself for good soon, sucks all you hear from her is not her music right now :S
PS: i vote for France for next chapter (Japan is still there too),coz i'm curious as to how you see my country hehe
Lina: We should go together!
xoxo
Frenchie: Krispy Kreme is heavenly. Do you have that donut shop in Cali? It might be a little less healthy than the yoghurt place, but its something you have to try!
I love chai latte, do you remember what the place is called?
Yeah, wino's had a rough couple of years, but if you listen to her first cd, Frank, its a girl with a super cool voice. Its time to clean up on the inside and outside and show the world that there's something else about her than her drug abuse=/
Guess what:
I'll write about France next time i write about countries=)
xoxo
yeah... we should!!!! we would rock london.
they would beg us to stay there forever!!!! hahaha.
yup we do have Krispy Kreme down here too...though i don't know if there's any nearby shop.i wanna go to the Cheesecake Factory first though...i still have that 25$ gift card from my birthday last year!lol
that chai tea isn't from any shop...it's just people making their own that they sell in the street.i don't remember exactly where it's at but i always end up findin them in winter, you have to go down the street, pass the bridge, pass the food stands and it's in one of these labyrinth alleys, they're usually all at the same place and from what i remember it looks kinda like a little court.
Lina: We should keep an eye on bands playing in London this spring, how cool would it be if we had a 24 hour trip to London?!
xoxo
And you're sure its safe to drink that tea? lol. Or will i be floating on a big pink sky for two hours after drinking it;)
Enjoy the cheesecake factory, take a picture and show me! Im not usually a big fan of cheesecakes, but im open minded for a new try!
Use the gift card before its out of date, that would be lame!
bisous :)
xoxo
do you really think 24 hours would be enough? hahaha.
that would mean no topshop time! or not much topshop time.
yeah, we should definitely keep an eye on the concerts coming up!
kind of
